For a program to be accredited, an independent body must see that it meets the states’ standards. Make sure that the program you want to take is accredited and acknowledged by the state that you want to practice in. Accreditation means that if you decide to change programs midway in the semester, you can use the credit hours that you have gained towards a new course, thus saving time and money.

3. Who are the educators?

The educators that will be teaching you will need to have the necessary experience and knowledge so that you can be a good PT, thus increasing your chances to be a highly paid one as well. To gather this information, check to schools website or portfolio both of which can either be done by going online or paying the school a visit.

4. Will there be any opportunities for research?

Often time graduate students will need to do some major research on a topic relevant to their field of study. Check if the program you will be taking offers the same opportunity for you.

You can also ask anyone that has graduated from the program or school of your choice what their opinions are and what they would suggest you to do or take. Finding out about other peoples’ experience can also help you to decide about what you want or hope to achieve.
